FEDERAL JUDICIARY VOTES TO CITE UNPUBLISHED OPINIONS

The federal judiciary’s policy-making body recently decided that attorneys should be allowed to cite unpublished opinions in federal appeals courts. If approved by the U.S. Supreme Court and Congress, the citation rule change will go into effect in 2007.
